The Vivekananda Study Circle of Kongunadu Arts and Science College joined hands with Ramakrishna Math, Tanjore to organize Youth Conclave 2025 in the college premises on Saturday. Dr. C.A. Vasuki, the Secretary and Director of the college presided over.

One of the speakers of this conclave was the Director of IIT Madras, Prof. Dr. V. Kamakoti. He spoke about the challenges in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and underlined that everyone needs to come together to achieve the 17 SDGs and create a better, more inclusive future for India.

Dr. Kamakoti inspired students to actively participate in India’s journey toward achieving the SDGs by 2047. He emphasized that the collective efforts of today’s youth can lead to a brighter, more equitable, and sustainable future for both the nation and the world. This talk left the audience motivated to embrace their role as agents of change and contribute meaningfully to global progress.

The IIT Director also introduced the SAFE framework, providing a structured pathway for India’s progress: Sustainability to address long-term challenges; AatmaNirbhar Bharat for building a self-reliant India through innovation and resilience; Futuristic Technology for leveraging advanced solutions to contemporary issues; and Entrepreneurship to foster creativity and drive development.

This conclave also aimed at inspiring young minds with the teachings of Swami Vivekananda – who is undoubtedly a Vishwa Guru to the Youths everywhere.  The special guests included Swami Vimurtananda Maharaj, Ramakrishna Mission- Thanjavur; Swami Narasimhananda Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kozhikode and Dr. R. Seetharaman, former CEO of Doha Bank, Qatar.

Swami Narasimhananda Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kozhikode, delivered the first talk, emphasizing self-confidence, ambition, and goal-setting as key to realizing one’s potential. Dr. R. Seetharaman, former CEO of Doha Bank, Qatar, delivered the second talk, highlighting Vivekananda’s relevance in societal and personal transformations. The third talk by Swami Vimurtananda Maharaj explored the practical applications of Vivekananda’s teachings.
