As part of Academic-Industry collaboration to drive value research and innovation, Elgi Equipments, World's leading air
compressor manufacturers, Wednesday signed an MoU with PSGR Krishnammal Women's College to open Digital Innovation Centre DOJO for the benefit of women.


By the GRG-ELGi Digtal Innovation DOJO, the first of its kind in the region, Elgi plans to create pan-India Digital Innovation DOJOs (Immersive learning Centres) with Academia, Elgi Equipments Managing Director, Dr.Jairam Varadaraj
told reporters on the sidelines of a function at the College.


The main focus is on establishing a robust education-to-work pipeline for young women to enhance STEM skills in line with business expectations, he said.


The talent of tomorrow will succeed it business corporations and the academia bolster collaboration efforts with the purpose of driving value research and society shaping, business-forward innovation, he said.


DOJO is equipped with the necessary computational systems and software from ELGI, will engage approximately 20 interns at any given time and will embrace extensive and effective use of the agile scrum framework for project
management and technology advancements, GRG Institutions Chairperson R. Nandini said.


All interns will have the opportunity to work on a technology platform spanning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and virtual/ augmented reality along with Robotic Process Automation, Nandini said.
