Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, celebrated National Pharmacy Education Day on Thursday 2025, on the theme “Entrepreneurship & Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice Encouraging innovation, incubation centres and pharmaceutical start-ups”.

Dr. S. Sriram, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore highlighted the evolution of pharmacy education, emphasizing the need to bridge the gap between academic and industry.

Dr. B. Jayakar, Director, Clinical Trials, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Salem & Executive Committee Member, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi was the Chief guest. 

He accentuated the need for incubation centers and start-ups to foster growth and development in the Pharmacy sector, also stressed the importance of collaboration between academia, industry, and government to support the growth of pharmaceutical start-ups.

Dr. S. Rajagopal, Medical Director, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital was the Guest of Honour. He underlined the importance of innovation, research, and collaboration in shaping the future of healthcare and pharmacists being knowledgeable, skilled and compassionate in their profession.
