A Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine worth Rs.5,000 was donated by the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore CACIL with the support of Innerwheel Club of Coimbatore East, and the machine was installed at St. Mary’s Girls Higher Secondary School, in the city.


The Rotractors stated in a press release that they also provided Organic Pads made from Kenaf Fibres, sponsored by Coimbatore-based Organic Napkin Manufacturing Startup, Bliss Natural.


The Machine was launched and its usage was demonstrated to the students. Following this, a session on Menstrual Hygiene Awareness was organized for the students. It was handled by Dr. Mithra Prasad, Consultant Hepatologist, VGM Hospital, Coimbatore. Nearly 300 students attended the session and benefitted from it.
