Med Mall, India’s first exclusive mall for diverse range of medical equipment located at Avinashi Road, Coimbatore was declared the winner of The Pitch, a platform for start-ups to pitch ideas before a panel of venture capitalists and business leaders to secure funding and mentorship.

The Pitch is one of the marquee events of Coimbatore Vizha, and it concluded on Thursday at PSG iTech. This event provides a platform for budding entrepreneurs to highlight their innovative ideas before a panel of judges to secure funding.

Med Mall – a Coimbatore-based mall for medical equipment was declared the winner of The Pitch, while Parambarya and Mechinex were announced the first and second runners-up respectively. The start-ups ‘Tails on Wheels’ and ‘Netzer Living’ were appreciated for their presentation.

Dr.Senthil Nathan, MD, Med Mall and team received the prize at the award ceremony of The Pitch. R.S.Arun, Chair and Saumya Gayathri, Co-Chair, Coimbatore Vizha 2024 presented the award along with the panel of investors.

The organizers conveyed that 120 entities applied to participate in the 5th edition of The Pitch this year, and 16 were shortlisted to present their ideas to an esteemed panel of venture capitalists, generating investment opportunities worth nearly Rs.10 crore.2 startups secured funding, while several others engaged in advanced discussions with investors.

Sweetkadai, a pioneering startup, secured Rs.10 crore in funding from ADISSIA Properties. M.V. Manikandan, Managing Director of ADISSIA handed over the grant.
