Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT), Pachapalayam, Coimbatore, in collaboration with Autosports India, successfully hosted the Mega Motorsport Championship Events from 11th to 13th April 2025.

The event brought together engineering minds and racing enthusiasts from across the nation for a one-of-a-kind motorsports and technical challenge experience. The competition included three main categories - Mega Karting Championship (IC & Electric), Mega ATV Championship (IC & Electric) and Mega E-Bike Championship (up to 2000W).

R.Sundar, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust inaugurated the event in the presence of D.Maheshkumar CAO of Trust, J. David Rathnaraj, Principal, SRIT and Ajith Pande, Founder of Autosports India. 

The event received participation from 1000 student belonging to 40+ reputed engineering institutions. Renowned institutions like BITS Pilani – Goa Campus, VIT Bhopal, College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Chennai, and many more showcased their best teams, transforming the SRIT campus into a national hub of creativity, engineering, and motorsports spirit.

The stakes were high, with cash prizes totaling Rs.10 Lakhs awarded across multiple competitive categories. These awards celebrated not just speed but the comprehensive engineering effort — from concept and design to fabrication, testing, and final race-day performance. The prize distribution ceremony was a true celebration of talent and perseverance.
