Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) celebrated World Intellectual Property Day on Wednesday. An accredited Patent Attorney, Meena introduced the concept, process and steps involved in patenting to the PG Students of the varsity at the event.


A workshop on Intellectual Party and a quiz were held for the PG students of the varsity by the School of Post Graduate Studies (SPGS) and the Centre for Agricultural & Rural Development Studies (CARDS).


At the event, the university’s Registrar R. Thamizh Vendan congratulated them for filing 9 patents in a year from their thesis research works. He encouraged the innovative minds to file more patents in the coming years.


A panel discussion was also held in connection with this occasion. It was chaired by D.Suresh Kumar, Director (CARDS), N.VenkatesaPalanisamy, Dean (Agri.), TNAU,J.Arthi, Professor of Avinashilingam University for Women and K.Preethi, Assistant Professor of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
