Engineering works pertaining to 'Points & Crossings' are to be carried out at Melpakkam (near Arakkonam) and at Katpadi railway yard. 

To facilitate those works, changes will be made in Coimbatore Chennai Central Coimbatore Intercity Express Train Services, as mentioned below, on 17, 24 & 30 April, 2024.

Train No.12680 Coimbatore - Chennai Central Intercity Express, leaving Coimbatore Jn at 06.20 hrs, will be partially cancelled between Katpadi - Chennai Central on 17, 24 & 30 April, 2024. The train will run from Coimbatore to Katpadi only; it will not run from Katpadi to Chennai Central on the above mentioned dates.

Train No.12679 Chennai Central Coimbatore Intercity Express, leaving Chennai Central at 14.35 hrs, will be partially cancelled between Chennai Central - Katpadi on 17, 24 & 30 April, 2024. The train will not run from Chennai Central to Katpadi; it will leave from Katpadi and run up to Coimbatore Jn on the above mentioned dates.
