The tri-colored flag that flies all-day at Coimbatore Railway Station is reportedly in a damaged condition for a few months.

A report mentioned that the flag at the junction has been flying in a damaged condition for some months, and the public including passengers have expressed that the concerned railway authorities should fix this issue right away, and do a periodical inspection of the flag's condition.

Coimbatore Railway Station officials have explained that the tri-colored flag is changed often and they last changed it during the 2024 Independence Day. Since the current issue was brought to their attention only now, they have begun the procedure to change the flag and the same will be done immediately.

It must be mentioned that a resident from Coimbatore's Gandhimanagar found out the color of the Ashoka Chakra in the flag to have faded away in 2023. He alerted the authorities about the incident , after which a new flag was hoisted.
