Art Alert: Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust announces 224th Painting Exhibition in the city!

Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust is all set to organize its latest art exhibition from April 23 to 27 at its Art Gallery, near Aravind Eye Hospital at Avinashi Road.
The Trust is known for organizing Painting Exhibitions in order to promote art in Coimbatore. It has so far organized 223 Art Exhibitions under various themes/banners from the year 2003. A press release from the Trust stated that it has decided to organize art exhibitions of different artists of all over the country in the year 2025 under the banner Rhythmic Palette Series 2024-25.
Its 224th Painting Exhibition will be held for 5 days from 23rd to 27th April 2025. In this exhibition, 4 women artists Charanya Rajesh, Gayathri Balaji, Sathya N. Prabhu and Yamuna Bala, Chennai are displaying and offering for sale their works under the title Thooriga.
It is a vibrant collective of talented women artsts, bound together by a deep love for art and a passion for showcasing diverse perspectives.
Charanya Rajesh, a Chennai-based Artist said "My paintings depicts womanhood in different forms. I like to show their inner strength, love for nature and animals, beauty, spirituality through my Art."
Gayathri Balaji shared "Traditional paintings being my forte I like to depict scenes from epics , narrating interesting episodes of stories through my art. My love for travel and visiting the famous ancient temples and archaeological wonders have greatly influenced and helped shape my artforms.
Talking about her work, Sathya N Prabhu, another artist based in Chennai said "My paintings tell the story of my artistic journey, starting with the inspiration I found in the mesmerizing Nayak murals and flowing into the world of contemporary art."
Sharing a few words about her style, Yamuna Bala said "My art emphasises human values, self-development and the understanding of diverse perspectives. Each piece flows from my inner experiences, offering a path to a joyous and meaningful inner journey".
