The 35th Graduation Day of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science, Nava India, Coimbatore, was held on Saturday (20.09.2025) in the college auditorium.


The event was presided over by S. Narendran, Joint Managing Trustee of the SNR Sons Charitable Trust. B.L.Shivakumar, Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering and presented the college’s achievements.

The chief guest, P. B. Kotur, Global Head – Global Engineering Academy, L&T Technology Services, awarded degrees to the postgraduate students and presented medals to the rank holders in each discipline.

A total of 1,688 undergraduate students and 408 postgraduate students, altogether 2,096 students were conferred with degrees. Professors, students, and parents participated in the event.

He spoke about the 5 Es of Nation’s progress. Education, employment, entrepreneurship, economy, and environment are the five fundamental pillars for a nation's progress. Learning is a continuous process and it is limitless.

During his speech he said, “India has 1,36,936 educational institutions, where around 14 million students are studying. There are 1,338 central, state, and private universities functioning, with 4.3 crore students enrolled. Among them, capable and qualified students are being produced. Education is the gateway to the future. It empowers everyone.”

“Our education teaches us about our traditions and culture. That is why, even though we may be economically behind, we continue to excel culturally. A New India is creating numerous opportunities for students. Indian students are emerging as global leaders in technology. India now holds the third position in the global economy, and our education system is a major contributing factor to this achievement,” he added.
