Ajay Bharatan, Inspector General CRPF has taken over charge as Principal of Central Training College CRPF Coimbatore on Monday.

He joined the Central Reserve Police Force in 1986 as a Directly Appointed Gazetted Officer.

During his service he has successfully served in several militancy affected areas like Punjab, North East, J&K, Chhattisgarh and various other regions battling extreme naxalism and terrorism.

He has also commanded prestigious training institutions of CRPF like Central Training College Coimbatore, Recruits Training College Avadi 

Under his leadership CTC CRPF Coimbatore was adjudged "Best Training Institution" in 2015.

During the course of his career  Ajay Bharatan has undergone numerous strategic courses in CRPF as well as in other prestigious civil institutions.
