The students of The Camford International School here on Friday replicated the logo of the Olympiad by a medium of mosaic with rock salt crystals on the school premises.

This stupendous feat was achieved solely by the spontaneous participation of 40 Grade 7 and 8 students, whose infectious enthusiasm helped in completing the 40 feet *20 feet mosaic in less than 2 hours.

The school wanted to create awareness among the public about the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad is scheduled from July 19 to 26 in Chennai.

The intent of this program was to introduce and share the benefits of playing Chess in our daily life predominantly among children, the school Chairman N Arulramesh said on the record and congratulated the students.

He also expressed his desire that such programs would provide an the impetus to identify future champions of the game.
