The Tamil Department of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science (SRCAS), Coimbatore, announced on Thursday that it will host a two-day International Conference in March 2025. The conference will focus on the theme, 'Creative Works of Kavignar Kavidasan - A Multifaceted Study'.

'Kavignar' Kavidasan, the Director of Roots Industries India, is a renowned motivational speaker and a celebrated literary figure from Coimbatore. 

He has authored over 60 collections of essays and 25+ collections of poems. He has also conducted more than 75,000 self-confidence workshops for students and industry professionals in the last 30 years, and delivered hundreds of impactful motivational speeches at academic and industry conferences across Tamil Nadu. His contributions have earned him prestigious accolades, including the Tamil Nadu Government's Tamil Chemmal and Sollin Selvar awards.

A press conference was held on Thursday to announce that SRCAS will organize an International Tamil Conference on the Works of Kavignar Kavidasan. It was attended by B.L. Shiva Kumar, Principal of SRCAS; Prof. Vishwanathan, the Conference Coordinator; and Kavidasan, Director of Roots Industries India.

During the event, Prof. Vishwanathan shared that students from schools and colleges, Tamil literary researchers, and Tamil enthusiasts are invited to submit articles on various topics, including Societal Development, Feminism, Improvement of Human, Family, and Social Relationships, Leadership Qualities, Skill Development, Social Issues and Solutions, Management Principles, Pathways to Success, and Nature & Environment, etc.

He emphasized that there is no registration fee for submitting articles. Selected articles will be compiled and published as books with ISBN numbers. 10 articles judged by a panel of experts as the best will each receive a cash prize of Rs.10,000. The articles should be sent to kaviconf2025@srcas.ac.in before February 28.

Prof. Vishwanathan also mentioned that they expect to receive over 200 articles. Professors teaching Tamil in Singapore, Malaysia, and even the United States have expressed interest in participating. The conference will feature four major literary sessions over the two days, covering a range of topics, and will conclude with an award ceremony to honor achievers from diverse fields.
