Railway cancels 1 weekly train service, adds extra coach to 4 pairs of train service connecting Coimbatore!

Southern Railway announced on Thursday that due to massive landslides, triggered by heavy rains, rail tracks in Assam have got obstructed, and because of this situation, many train services have been either cancelled (or) partially cancelled.
On that note, the Weekly Express Trains between Silchar - Coimbatore have also been cancelled.
Accordingly, Train No. 12516 Silchar - Coimbatore (via Perambur, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur) Weekly Express, scheduled to leave Silchar at 7.30 p.m. on 08.07.2025 and reach Coimbatore Jn at 11.55 p.m. on 11.07.2025, has been cancelled.
Train No.12515 Coimbatore - Silchar (via Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Perambur) Weekly Express, scheduled to leave Coimbatore Jn at 10.00 p.m.on 13.07.2025 and reach Silchar at 3.55 p.m. on 16.07.2025, has been cancelled.
On the other hand, to meet the travel requirements of the increasing number of passengers, 4 pairs of trains - originating from / terminating at Coimbatore Jn. have been given an additional coach on a temporary basis.
