Coimbatore MP inaugurates Young Indians Parliament 2.0 in the city

Ganapathy Rajkumar, Member of Parliament - Coimbatore constituency inaugurated the Young Indians Parliament 2.0 - a model parliament initiative organized by Young Indians (Yi) -Coimbatore at SSVM School of Excellence on Friday.
This event is designed to nurture leadership, civic responsibility, and life skills among school students, and it had an strong participation from students across the city. More than 150 students from 22 Schools across Coimbatore, including 30 students from Corporation Schools, are participating in this two-day parliamentary simulation.
Acting as Members of Parliament, students are forming political parties, representing constituencies, drafting bills, debating policies, and engaging in structured parliamentary proceedings, mirroring the real-world functioning of the Indian Parliament.
Ganapathy Rajkumar, the Chief Guest, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of democratic participation and leadership. He urged students not just to exercise their right to vote but also to consider active roles in governance, policymaking, and public service, becoming torchbearers of change in India.
Manimekalai Mohandoss, Managing Trustee, SSVM Institutions, and Mohandoss, Trustee, SSVM Institutions took part as the Guests of Honour.
