VK's Coimbatore District Secretary Sampath Kumar told reporters on Tuesday that they have sought permission from the city police for Vijay's campaign, and a letter was submitted by the party for the same. The police have not laid any conditions for the campaign according to Sampath.

In the letter, the party had asked police to offer security at Sivanandha Colony, Rajev Naidu Street, Tatabad and the other zones where Vijay is expected to address the public.As Vijay is also expected to campaign at a few areas in Mettupalayam, Pollachi, a similar letter was submitted to the Superintendent of Police.

"We have chosen few locations for our Chief's campaign. Once Police Department grants permission, the campaign locations will be finalized," Sampath told reporters. 

As Vijay's campaign during these two days is set to be in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur and Erode, he is expected to visit the city on 4th, arrive here by private jet and proceed to other areas by road.
