Do you know that there is a welder in Coimbatore who after completing his regular works cleans toilets and raises that money to support the educational needs of underprivileged?

 

He is A.Loganathan, one of the many unsung heroes who live silently among us. 

 

With the aim to identify such unsung heroes and honor them, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC) instituted Krish Awards – a series of awards bestowed upon individuals with concern for society development. 

 

 A.Loganathan was honored with the Krish Icon of Inspiration Award today at the college along with 24 other extraordinary individuals, as a part of SKASC’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations, to honor individuals who have contributed for the wellbeing of society.  

 

Kezevino Aram, President, Shanti Ashram, Coimbatore was the Chief Guest and gave away the awards.

 

For providing football coaching services to the underprivileged children, and assisting them to get selected in State, National and International team, C.Rajesh Kanna, Convenor, Women’s Wing, Erode District Football Association was presented the Krish Guru Drona Award. 

 

S.Sankara Raman, Indian Disability Activist was honored with the Krish Icon of Excellence Award for supporting the differently abled people in various fields and extending his hands for the challenged citizens.

 

For facilitating rehabilitation to those who were abandoned, P.Mahendran, Managing Trustee of the Era Nenjam Trust was presented the Krish Community Warrior Award. 

 

Sneha Mohandoss, Founder, Food Bank India, Chennai was honored with Krish Amudha Surabhi Award for her ingenious ways to use social media for her unending fight to feed the homeless and her dream for “future without hunger”.

             

For providing his continuous support to HIV infected patients and their families, Dr.K.Mahadevan, Consultant, Dermatologist, PSGIMSR, Coimbatore was honored with the Krish Medical Philanthropist Award.

 

Grace Banu, a Software Engineer from Chennai was honored with Krish Torch Bearer Award for her outstanding services rendered towards the welfare of the transgender community and her tremendous contribution in bringing glory in the lives of the distinctive gender.

 

K.Prisha from Tirunelveli was honored with the Krish Icon of Inspiration Award for becoming the first youngest Yoga teacher for the Blind. 

 

K.V.Rajhasethumurali, Founder, Pasiyarasoru, Coimbatore was presented the Krish Zero Hunger Award for his volunteer services towards the destitute and for saving lives.

 

Like this several socially active individuals were honored at the award ceremony. 

 

 S.Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee and K. Adithya, Trustee congratulated the awardees. College’s Principal R.Jagajeevan, Vice-Principal R.Vijayasamundeshwari, Sri Krishna Institutions’ CEO K.Sundararaman, General Manager- Finance, S.Lakshmipathy and Director M.Prithivi Rajan took part.
