When a hotel serves you a dessert made of Kavuni Arisi, you can rest assured that it will truly treat you well.

Kavuni Arisi, also known as Forbidden Rice, is packed with high levels of nutrition and was traditionally served only to royalty and the elite, but forbidden to common folk.

This is just one of the many delights that the brand-new ‘O’ by Tamara has in store for you. Read on to learn more about this latest 4-star hotel.

This business and leisure hotel in Singanallur, Coimbatore, run by Bengaluru-headquartered Tamara Leisure Experiences, had its grand opening four months ago.

Some portions of its facade may remind you of an establishment the city was acquainted with. International hospitality major Auromatrix’s Hotel Aloft was the foundation on which this new 4-star hotel stands.

But if you thought this was a rebranded hotel under new management, you need to think again and certainly visit ‘O’ by Tamara to experience how it has distinguished itself from the previous establishment.

Umapathi, GM at ‘O’ by Tamara - Coimbatore, shared that it took them 18-20 months to renovate and revamp the hotel to the standards and offerings O by Tamara is known for. From the lobby to the guest rooms, banquet halls, pool, spa, café, patisserie, and restaurant, everything has been recreated to reflect the opulence of the ‘O’ by Tamara brand.

Through its distinct and subtle theme, the hotel pays tribute to the textile sector Coimbatore is known for. ‘O’ by Tamara offers 141 rooms across different categories – Deluxe King, Deluxe Studio Room, Elite King Room, Elite Family Room, and The Suite.

You won't find any plastic items here; it is either glass or metal/wood. Even the razor and comb in the rooms are made of wood. Yes, this new hotel takes the Go Green concept very seriously.

(Would you believe if I said that 30% of its electricity requirements are received through renewable means? Yes, the hotel has a massive solar installation on the roof-top. Go Tamara!)

O Café is the hotel’s multi-cuisine restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Executive Chef Veerapandian, who has worked at Oberoi, Udaipur, and Emirates, Dubai, ensures that every dish is memorable and enjoyable.

He is one of the people behind some unique dishes you will find here. The dishes are carefully crafted, and the ingredients are mostly sourced from high-quality traders in Coimbatore.

O Café has a seating capacity of 124, with 54 seats in the outdoor dining area and 70 in the indoor section. There is also a bar with over 50 seats, soon to receive a liquor license.

Moving to the banquet hall, it is a massive 4,750 sq.ft hall frequented by various reputed business organizations to hold meetings and social events, accommodating up to 175 people.

The Elevation – Spa offers Western Therapy and Ayurveda Therapy, equipped with steam and sauna rooms.

Ayurveda Therapy is offered by an in-house certified Ayurveda therapist. Other recreational and relaxation amenities include a 4-ft. swimming pool and a well-equipped gym.

While much can be described about the hotel, a visit will do greater justice. So, try visiting it.

Did we mention what the O in ‘O’ by Tamara stands for? It stands for Outstanding, and it certainly lives up to its name. So, check it out, Coimbatore."
