The Confederation of Indian Industry - Coimbatore will organize the 23rd edition of CII Connect -  a premier tech event that will witness speakers and eco-system players from the complete value chain of ICT share insights in Coimbatore on October 16th and 17th at Hotel Le Meridien.

A press meet to brief about the event was held on Monday at CII -Coimbatore Head Office. Steering Committee members of CII Connect and its conveners - Mahalingam Ramasamy and Aruna Thangaraj addressed the press and media.  Shimna, Deputy Director, CII Coimbatore Zone also joined the meet.

They shared that this conference will be dubbed  CII Connect Tamil Nadu as it will feature the team from CII - Chennai. The event will be on the theme 'TransformAItion into the Next Era of Intelligence'.  The emphasis will be on A.I., and how it is reshaping the business, leadership and innovation across sector.

"It will be a holistic explorative journey where we start with what leadership should look like, what our established companies are doing, what should startups do," Aruna Thangaraj  said.

Some of the finest speakers will be a part of this event including Mr.Ram Charan, a world renowned business consultant, top leaders from Amazon, Google, InfoSys, Bosch, etc., and lot of good AI startups.

S.Krishnan IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India will be the Chief Guest on the inaugural day while Palanivel Thiagarajan, Minister for Information and Technology, Govt of Tamil Nadu will be the Chief Guest on the valedictory session. 40 panelists and speakers will take part in the event and share their knowledge. 400+ participants are expected. 

Speaking at the press meet, Mahalingam Ramasamy said the government and whole ecosystem is projecting Coimbatore as a destination for GCCs (Global Capacity Centers) after Chennai. CII also recognizes that and we have planned to have a bigger event on the tech-front.

What used to be a one-day event has become a two-day program where we will have industry and academia take part. This event will showcase Coimbatore's strength in tech sector, he said. It is noteworthy to mention that CII Connect Awards Ceremony too will be held as a part of this event.
