Coimbatore-based Bull Machines, India's second largest backhoe loader brand launched its new advanced backhoe loader named SuperSmart, that complies with the latest BS5-CEV Stage V environmental regulations on Friday at its plant in Sulur.

D.Vidyaprakash, Managing Trustee, GRD Foundation took part as the Chief Guest and launched the new model in the presence of A.V. Varadharajan, Chairman; V.Parthiban, Managing Director and Baljinder Singh Rana, Associate VP - Sales, Bull Machines.

Speaking at the launch event, V.Parthiban, MD, Bull Machines said that upgrading to BS5 was a challenge but it was conquered by the company's team. "Bull's backhoe loaders are the best in the world in fuel efficiency and performance. The BS5 compliance meets government norms without sacrificing the performance," Mr.Parthiban remarked. 

The new vehicle comes with two robust engine options - Kirloskar engine and Ashok Leyland Turbo Intercooled Engine.These engines along with the Bull's patented APM technology ensures that the new SuperSmart continuous to retain the leadership in performance and fuel efficiency in the world while offering unmatched durability and ease of operation.

Besides the environmental norms compliance, the technical features, safety standards, and the solid power of the machine will add value to the customers, he said.

Talking about sales, Parthiban mentioned that they sold 2200 vehicles in India while they exported 3000 vehicles. "We are no.2 in India and we have surpassed many MNCs in this space. In the world, we are No.5 now and we have targeted to be the World No.2 by 2030," he said. Regarding growth, Mr.Parthiban said that in last 3 years the companies has grown on average by 47% CAGR.

Bull makes close to 400-500 machines per month and manufactures 4500 machines per annum. This year, it will double its production capacity from 4500 to 9000 vehicles per annum, and this expansion project was approved at the Global Investor Meet in the presence of Chief minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin.

The company is planning to achieve this production capacity in FY 2025-26 and for that it will make investments in different phases. In the first phase, it will invest Rs.120 crore for this expansion. As of now, the Backhoe loaders of Bull are sold in 65+ countries. It is in plans to increase it to 100 countries soon.
