Dining options in Coimbatore Railway junction will soon be on a whole new level, as efforts are going on to convert an old train coach into a classy restaurant near the main entrance of the Coimbatore Railway Junction as per orders from Railways Department, sources reported.

Old and to-be scrapped rail coaches are being refurbished and converted into rail-coach themed restaurants in India as per guidance from the Railways Department in various parts of the country while few are already functioning in Hyderabad and Mumbai and 2 are coming up in Bengaluru.

Such an effort is being taken up in Coimbatore to give passengers and their families a different kind of dining experience. This upcoming restaurant will have a seating capacity of 30. Its ambience will be similar to a posh restaurant with a vintage feel and vivid lighting-setup. There is even a train-track being set up for this project, and the coach will be on it. The menu is expected to include both veg and non-veg.
