The Southern Regional Finals of the Young Indians (Yi) Masoom National Cricket Tournament was held at Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science cricket ground recently, and the team ‘MK Infraa’ of Coimbatore defeated SPK Erode Erostars in this regional finals.

Yi Masoom Cup 2023 is a national cricket tournament organized to support and promote ‘Project Masoom’.

Masoom is one of the important projects of Young Indians, where the organization work on various initiatives towards creating awareness on child safety, eliminating child sexual abuse and harassment through awareness sessions, campaigns, events and social media across the country.

This cricket tournament brings together Yi chapters from 56 cities, celebrating cricket at the same time highlighting the cause of this project also.

MK Infraa Coimbatore and SPK Erode Erostars played the southern regional finals here. Erode batted first and scored 121 runs in their allotted 15 overs. Coimbatore then chased the runs in 13.5 overs with Sasidharan winning the man of the match in the final.

MK Infraa Coimbatore will now play the national finals with teams from all other 5 regions at Chennai for the Yi Masoom Cup 2023.
