Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Padi ordered that drawing water from River Bhavani for industrial usage is prohibited from now on.

A meeting was held today at the District Collector's office and it was attended by the Coimbatore City Corporation Commissioner, Sivaguru Prabhakaran and other officials. It was announced that a special monitoring committee comprising of Revenue Department Officials has been formed in this regard.
