Works to construct a 1.2 km. flyover in Saibaba Colony junction to facilitate smoother vehicle movement and ease the traffic congestion at this area will begin once the model code of conduct in effect across India gets over.

While reports state that no work in connection with this project has been carried out, upon receiving the work order from the National Highways wing of the State Highways in March 2024, preliminary works such as soil testing was made in that very same month.

The delay in executing the project is due to the aforementioned election norms, and it is expected to begin in full swing after June 4.

This 1.2 km. flyover starts at Alagesan road and ends near Eru company. The project should be completed in March 2026.

On the other hand, since no party has responded to the tender for the Singanallur Flyover Project, the Highways department will float a new tender.
