One fine evening when you think you are just going to have another happy dinner with your family, you see something big and life-threatening happening outside your house through your CCTV camera feed. You do not have time to call for help. You must act this very instant. What will you do?
Remember, your bold decision will most certainly have a bold retaliation from your neigbours. Time is ticking. What is the game plan?
A House of Dynamite by Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow elevates a billion times the scenario I just presented you, and it is so authentic that you will feel that such a thing could happen any moment in this geo-politically turbulent period in history.
This Netflix film has some of the well-known actors and a few talented but not often seen sort of actors by the average global audience but their performance is so natural and they do not seem like acting at all. They have lived their parts. There is drama, tension, a ton of never-before-seen scenarios inside the most powerful nation's command centers.
The story is well-researched, the screenplay, music, direction everything well-executed and definitely feels 99.9% close to reality. It is a political thriller and a film that will raise multiple questions in your head. The director's style felt almost identical to David Fincher's this time. Remember House of Cards? The stake in this one is much bigger than that.
When they say "You cannot take down a bullet with a bullet", they mean it. Watch it now on Netlix.
