The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Renewable Energy Club of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) organized a significant event, marking the induction of the institution’s membership into the Sustainability and Energy Practitioners Association (SEPA), Coimbatore.

The occasion also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SREC and Cares Renewables Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, strengthening the collaboration in the field of renewable energy.

S. Allirani, Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), highlighted the benefits of this collaboration. The function was presided over by A. Soundarrajan, Principal of the college.

Raguram Arjunan, Managing Director of Cares Renewables Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore and President of SEPA, participated as the chief guest. In his address, emphasized the growing importance of sustainable energy solutions and the role educational institutions play in fostering innovation in renewable energy.He highlighted that the SEPA along with its 130 industrial members serving across the nation’s sustainable development goals.

The signing of the MoU between SREC and Cares RenewablesPvt Ltd marks a key step towards a strategic partnership that will enhance research, knowledge exchange, and practical training for students, preparing them to meet the challenges of the renewable energy sector.
