Tiruppur Exporters' Association gets strong leadership for next 3 years

Tiruppur Exporters' Association, held its Executive Committee meeting recently to select its leadership for 2025-2028.
K.M. Subramanian was elected as President. Along with him, Rajkumar Ramasamy and V.Elangovan were chosen as Vice Presidents, N. Thirukumaran as General Secretary, M.R. Gopalakrishnan as Treasurer, and Kumar Duraisamy and Anand Muthusam were selected as Joint Secretaries unopposed, according to a press release.
They will be assisted by 30 Executive Committee Members, forming a strong and experienced leadership team to guide the association over the next three years. All newly elected members will formally assume office at the Annual General Body Meeting scheduled for September 22.
Speaking about the election, President K.M. Subramanian stated that this historic association was established 45 years ago under the visionary guidance of Padma Shri awardee, A. Sakthivel, who has been a mentor and guiding force for Tiruppur's knitwear industry.
"Since being elected in the 2022 term under his mentorship, our team has strived to bring numerous initiatives for the welfare of the industry and the growth of Tiruppur. We are grateful to all the members for recognizing these efforts and giving us a renewed mandate," he added.
"Being elected unopposed is not just a recognition but a sign of the tremendous trust our members have placed in us. We accept this with added humility and responsibility. Over the next three years, we aim to Double the current export volume. Many companies are currently facing pressure due to U.S. tariff issues, and we are actively working on solutions to help them recover. Our efforts will continue. TEA will always stand firmly to support the growth of both the industry and the Tiruppur region," the newly elected members said.
