The 18th edition of Coimbatore Vizha, branded as its Infinity Edition, was officially launched on Friday (31.10.25) by Ganapathy Rajkumar, Member of Parliament - Coimbatore Constituency; Pavankumar G.Giriyappanavar IAS, Coimbatore District Collector; Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS, Commissioner, Coimbatore City Corporation; Saravana Sundar IPS, Commissioner, Coimbatore City Police Department in the presence of Shanmugam Palaniappan, Chair of  Coimbatore Vizha 2025; Neil Kikani, Chair, Young Indians- Coimbatore and other invited guests.

The launch took place in Screen 5 of PVR Cinemas in Brookefields Mall. Coimbatore Vizha is organized by many organizations in Coimbatore and by the citizens of Coimbatore for 17 years to celebrate the Spirit of Our City - symbolizing a Colourful & Rich Celebration of the Culture, Traditions and Social Spirit of the People of Coimbatore.

Shanmugam Palaniappan, Chair of Coimbatore Vizha 2025 said that as the 18th year has infinity loop in the form of the number 8, this edition is branded as the Infinity edition.  It is scheduled between 14th – 24th November 2025 .  Around 150+ events have been planned to be held in the span of 11 Days with the common message of bringing the city together.

Some of the events to look out for include  Sky Dance - an incredible Projection Mapping Experience, Art Street with 80+ local artists, Coimbatore Science and Technology Fest, Para Sports and Special Sports, Coimbatore’s Got Talent, Coimbatore Vizha Marathon,  Isai Mazhai, The Pitch, Rally for Resilience, Vizha Veedhi, Vibes of Chettinad, Coimbatore Festival of Speed - GRIT- GokartRacing for Inspired Teens, Autocross championship, Car and Bike Stunt Show -An electrifying stunt show, Motorbike Rally, Parampariya Vizha, Pattimandram, Vintage & Classic Car Show, PickleFest ( Pickleball event), Peranbu (celebrating senior citizens), Green Up & Glow Up Coimbatore ( clean up drive initiative), E-Waste Collection Drive and Ruppe Ready ( Financial Literacy awareness event for Children).

Coimbatore's MP, Ganapathy Rajkumar appreciated the organizers of the Vizha 2025, especially the Yi team for organizing various projects beyond this, that benefits the student community.

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS said that there is going to be 170 events this year, yet the double-decker bus ride will be missed a lot this time. He appreciated the addition of new events like the Projection Mapping will certainly be a treat to the public.

He said the corporation will extend its full support to this infinity edition, like it has done in the previous editions. He also remarked that this is one such grand event that happens so calm and composed in the city.

District Collector Pavankumar IAS said that the line-up of 18 innovative, key events includes everyone in the society. From 6 years to 60+, all have something in this year's Vizha, and everyone will get connected. He said that the district administration will host a special photo exhibition, that will cover significant aspects of the district. Great pics will be displayed featuring artisans, wildlife, culinary themes and much more.
