Coimbatore's MP, Ganapathy Rajkumar said in a private event on Friday that skyline of Coimbatore will see a tremendous change in 10 years.

He took part in the launch of 18th edition of Coimbatore Vizha and officially launched the event, and said that district is on a rapid development phase and in the next 5-10 years the city is expected to attract lot of people from different cities.Just like how Bengaluru and Chennai attracts people, Coimbatore too will be one such metro city.

Speaking further, he said the city will surely develop a lot in the coming years, and its skyline will see a tremendous change in 10 years with many skyscraper projects set to commence in the future. Signs of that are already visible, he remarked.

The MP asserted that the announced Metro Train project will come in spite of various hurdles, as works for that is happening behind the screen. The airport expansion project too will commence shortly, and in the next 5 years, it will become truly international. Works for that have already commenced.
