BJP's Coimbatore Chief released from jail on bail

BJP District chief Balaji Uthamaramasamy, lodged in the central jail was released on Friday, following bail granted by a
court here.
During a protest rally organized by Hindu Munnani, Uthamaramasamy dared DMK MP A.Raja to come out in the open without police protection and made defamatory remarks against him and arrested on September 21, based on the complaints by Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam and DMK and remanded to 15 days judicial custody.
Uthamaramasamy had moved the court seeking bail and the Principal District Judge K Rajasekar granted bail for 15 days on Thursday with a condition that he should sign the register daily at Peelamedu police station.
Based on the bail, Utharamasamy was released from the jail Friday evening, where he was given a rousing welcome by BJP cadres and relatives.
