Southern Railways announced on Friday that in order to facilitate Track Renewal Works at Coimbatore North Railway Yard, changes will be made in a few train services on 24.8.25 (Sunday).

Full Cancellation of Train Services

Train No.66612 PodanurMettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to leave Podanur Jn at 09.40 a.m, will be fully cancelled and Train No.66615 Mettupalayam - Podanur MEMU, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 1.05 p.m. will be fully cancelled on 24.08.2025.

Train services that will run on a diverted route

Train No.16159 Tambaram - Mangalore Central Express of 23.08.2025 will be diverted via Irugur - Podanur on 24.08.2025. Consequently, the train will skip the stoppage at Peelamedu, Coimbatore North and Coimbatore Jn railway stations on 24.08.2025.

Train No.22644 Patna-Ernakulam Express of 22.08.2025 will be diverted via Irugur-Podanur on 24.08.2025. Consequently, the train will skip the stoppage at Coimbatore Jn on 24.08.2025. Hence, an Alternative Stoppage will be given at Podanur Jn. Timings at Podanur Jn-10.27/10.30 a.m.

Train No.22504 Dibrugarh - Kanniyakumari Vivek Express of 21.08.2025 will be diverted via Irugur - Podanur on 24.08.2025. Consequently, the train will skip the stoppage at Coimbatore Jn on 24.08.2025. Hence, an Alternative Stoppage will be given at Podanur Jn. Timings at Podanur Jn - 10.42 / 10.45 a.m.

Train No. 13352 Alappuzha - Dhanbad Express, scheduled to leave Alappuzha at 06.00 a.m., will be operated via Podanur Irugur, skipping Coimbatore Jn, on 24.08.2025. Hence, the train will have an Alternative Stoppage at Podanur Jn. Timings at Podanur Jn-12.17/12.20 p.m.

Train No. 12678 Ernakulam - KSR Bengaluru Express, scheduled to leave Ernakulam Jn at 09.10 hrs, will be operated via Podanur Irugur, skipping Coimbatore Jn, on 24.08.2025. Hence, the train will have an Alternative Stoppage at Podanur Jn. Timings at Podanur Jn-12.47/12.50 p.m.
