We strongly believe that our core focus is to develop you 360° by grooming your character and giving you a career and a certificate – in that order,” said Shankar Vanavarayar, President, Kumaraguru Institutions while welcoming the new batch of students to Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) on Wednesday.

KCT, a premier engineering and technology institution in Coimbatore organized Swagatham 2024 - a ceremony to welcome its 41st Batch of students. The ceremony was presided over by Shankar Vanavarayar, Prof.M.Ezhilarasi, Principal of KCT, Directors of various committees, Head of various departments, new students and their parents attended the program. 

While welcoming the gathering, Prof.M.Ezhilarasi said that the college has 1560 students (2024-2028 B.E and B. Tech UG Programs) joining the institution in this batch. “41% of them are girls and 59% is boys. Apart from Tamil Nadu, we have students from 7 different States of India," she added.

President of Kumaraguru Institutions, Shankar Vanavarayar welcomed the students of the 41st batch, and congratulated them on successfully completing their school education.

 “Our founder Arutchelvar N.Mahalingam believed that Education is a transformative force that can empower youth. Such an empowerment can give youngsters a great character, a strong exposure and an unyielding confidence. Youth with such traits, he believed, can make the world a better place,” Mr.Vanavarayar said.

He said that college will facilitate the ambiance and opportunities to learn, but students should take ownership of their life ahead and craft their college journey with clarity about the future. He recommended them to not just learn but apply the learning and innovate. He also recommended the students to follow a lifestyle that will improve their physical and mental health.
