The Press Room at Coimbatore District Collectorate received a nice makeover worth Rs. 5 lakh and sports a modern look with new interiors and furniture.

This renovated press room was inaugurated on Monday by District Collector Pavankumar IAS along with City Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS in the presence of Dr.Sharmila, District Revenue Officer; Senthil Anna, PRO - Coimbatore District Collectorate, Balaji, PRO - City Corporation and members of Coimbatore Print and News Channel Fraternity.

The Press Room has been given a new AC, improved ceiling, sheeted-floor, better lighting, renewed chairs in addition to 6 armless chairs, 1 sofa, improved dining area, cupboards/showcase setup etc. 

It is being accepted widely that after Chennai, the Press Room at Coimbatore Collectorate is the most modernized one. The sponsorship for the renovation was made by JS Associates, according to sources.
