Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore organized an event, “What next after plus 2” through the 2021 IBM Volunteer Excellence Award, for the school students of the city, with an aim to create awareness among students about where and what to study after their school education. 

R.Ashwin, Career Guidance Expert and Analyst, and also a proud alumnus of NIT Warangal was the Chief Guest. N.R.Alamelu, Principal presided over the function in the presence of C.V.Ramkumar, CEO, SNR Sons Charitable Trust.   

The Chief Guest R.Ashwin gave a comprehensive and crystal clear speech by emphasizing the need for Education. 

He provided the key perspectives for a plethora of career opportunities and the road map to achieve it. He reminisced his early days as an example, insisting that the external environment should not be an obstacle for learning because, education alone can fetch name, fame and great Laurels in Life.

 He motivated the students to learn well to get into the top class institutions like IIT, NIT, IISc because good future depends on being educated in premier institutions. In this regard he elaborated the road map and clear cut ways and benefits to get educated in these Premier Institutions. Finally, he concluded by urging the students to strive hard to learn well in the present with utmost dedication.

Numerous fun and knowledgeable activities were organized, which includes quiz competitions, sports activities, hands-on experience sessions on sensors, 3D printer, Aero Modelling and so on. The event also witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic response from the students.

M.Senthamil Selvi, professor and head of the Department, B.Tech Information and Technology, NSS head Kesavasamy were conveners of the program.
