We, who live today in this world, have a responsibility handover this planet safely to the next generation, and in order to achieve that we need to reduce CO2 emission and the impacts of global warming. We can do this when our young generation starts to act on it, said Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday, at Kongunadu Arts and Science College.

Dr.Tamilisai was the chief guest of the Y20 Talk on Future of Work held at the college in association with Dobbs Public School. Dr. Tamilisai said The National Education Policy 2020 is designed to enable students to move on from classroom and not just set foot in the global arena but shine there as well, however a few people are unwilling to make this happen and are against this policy.  She said that to make India grow in leaps and bounds, its youth needs to well-educated and skilled so that they can reach the global arena.

70 huge corporate companies in the US are run by people of Indian origins. Even the top official behind Russia’s moon mission is an Indian. The brain of Indians is special, and its ideal utilization is important, she said. She wanted the students to renew themselves every day, make good use of technology, and not let it use them.

She then said that great importance and support has been given to the industry and startups via the Atma Nirbhar Bharat mission, and the products made by states of India, for instance Tirupur, are sought by the entire world, she said.

She further highlighted Indian economy’s place among other nations, and credited PM Modi’s vision for it. Today we are the 5th largest economy, and works are going rapidly to reach a 5 trillion USD economy by 2025, she said.
