Air India has announced the reintroduction of its Mumbai-Coimbatore-Mumbai flight service, starting from May 3.

The flight will operate seven days a week and offer convenient connections to London's Heathrow and San Francisco from Mumbai. Using the A320-Neo fleet, flight AI 609 will depart Mumbai at 6:30 hours, reaching Coimbatore at 8:20 hours. The return flight AI 608 will leave Coimbatore at 9:00 hours and reach Mumbai at 11:00 hours.

Air India's press release highlighted the reinstated flight route's significance in strengthening its presence in the industrial city of south India and catering to the needs of both leisure and business travellers.
