LMW Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) had the distinct honour of hosting Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Secretary of the Department of Space (DoS), on his inaugural visit to the state-of-the-art facility.

This landmark occasion provided Dr. Narayanan a unique opportunity to experience firsthand LMW ATC’s world-class infrastructure, review flagship aerospace projects, and engage in strategic discussions aimed at strengthening India’s space technology ecosystem.

During his tour of the composite and metallics manufacturing units, Dr. Narayanan reviewed key milestones, including the delivery of the Composite Ogive Payload Fairing for the GSLV Mk-III mission.

This industry-first accomplishment highlights LMW ATC’s dedication to achieving global benchmarks in the fabrication of complex aerospace assemblies. The discussions also underscored LMW ATC’s significant contributions to ISRO’s launch vehicles such as SSLV, GSLV MKIII and explored collaborative opportunities to propel India’s ambitious space station programs and future crewed missions.

Dr. V. Narayanan’s connection with LMW is deeply rooted in decades of shared commitment to India’s aerospace advancements.

“This encouraging visit marks a pivotal moment that reinforces our shared vision of manufacturing excellence in space technology,” said the leadership of LMW ATC. “We remain committed to empowering India’s space journey through superior engineering, rigorous quality standards, and an unwavering focus on manufacturing excellence.”

LMW ATC expressed its sincere gratitude to Chairman ISRO and the entire ISRO team for their engagement, encouragement, and partnership, which continue to fuel the centre’s resolve to push technological boundaries.
